The RTG NASC Summer Internship is a one-week long program open to all high school students currently enrolled in 11th grade. Participants will be introduced to numerical mathematics and scientific computing. Each day will
be a combination of lectures on pre-calculus and calculus concepts, an introduction to programming
in Matlab, Julia, or Python, and computer lab sessions. Students will also learn about college applications, university campus life, and careers in computational and applied mathematics.

The program took place on the Rice campus from August 5 to August 9, 2024. The organizers of the program are Dr. Jesse Chan, Dr. Matthias Heinkenschloss and Dr. Beatrice Riviere.
